 I am so excited to begin a new school year!  It is great to have everyne back and working hard.  Our new playground is being well used and loved.  The teachers are building great relationships and the students are already learning alot.  I cannot wait for this year's focus on building Disciples who "Serve in God's Steps".  This is a wonderful path for each of our children to follow!  I will try to  post weekly blogs with valuable information that will help everyone to be prepared for each new day.
Here are some important things to remember.

• Picture Days- Thursday and Friday September 22/23.  Students were clothes for individual pictures of their choice on Friday and school uniform including logo shirt Friday for class pictures.  If you plan on being a regular volunteer come have your picture taken too!
• Volunteer Forms- This should be returned to the office as soon as they are complete. Parents planning to work in anyway with or around children must complete the Volunteer Application, Background Check and Child Safety Class.
• Parent/Student Handbooks- These were sent home and should be read and the form stating they were read should be returned as soon as possible
• Coffee Cart- Grand Opening is tomorrow morning, September 20th
• Open House is next Thursday, September 29th at 6:30 PM
• Preschool and Kindergarten will be going on a field trip this Wednesday- Check with you teacher for more information if you are in Miss Christie's or Mrs. Cypher's classes
• Our all school field trip to the pumpkin patch will be on October 14th
• If you need a logo shirt, see Miss Patti in the office any morning
  

 We have opened summer camp registration.  Enjoy up to 5 weeks of summer camp beginning July 5th and ending on August 5th.  We plan to offer Vacation Bible School June 27th-July 1st as well.  Call at 504-257-9409 or download an application from the downloads on this blog.

 Registration for the 2011-2012 school year has begun.  The form can be downloaded from the link attached to my blog or from the FSCS home page.  Remember that any family that returns the forms completed along with the $50 before March 31st will recieve a discount from the normal $75 registration fee.
